Licensing
In order to use the program, you must have a valid program license. License can be either a user-specific license file or network license obtained from license server. The license is validated when you start the program for the first time and randomly when you are using program. You cannot use the program without a valid license.
User-specific license
You will be prompted to activate the required licenses when you start the program for the first time. During license activation, the program checks number of free licenses from the CADMATIC server. If a license is available, you can activate it for your machine and account. A user-specific license requires Internet connection. If you start an application that is not activated, the program automatically prompts for license activation.
You can activate and deactivate user-specific licenses by selecting Help > About > License administration.
Note: Activating licenses is user account specific. This means that each user using the same computer activates their own license. Keep this in mind when somebody else than the user installs the program. A license cannot be activated for someone else.
For more information, see Activating user-specific licenses.
Network license
When you use the license server, CADMATIC Draw reserves a license from the license server only for the time when you are using the program. You can install the program to any number of workstations. When you start the program, it reserves a license from the server. If all licenses are in use, you cannot start the application.
You can borrow a license from a license server which allows you to use the program without connection to the license server. In addition, network license allows you to monitor license usage.
