Open, define and remove file references

File reference allows you to attach a reference to any file or hyperlink to an object. You can open the file reference with the Open option.
Open file references
Do the following:

Select Open file reference. All objects containing a file reference are marked with the
icon. -
Select the object whose file reference you want to open. The file type should be registered to some application in order to open the file. If there are multiple references, select the desired reference from the list.
Define file references
Do the following:

Select Define file reference. The File reference dialog opens.

Select file or hyperlink as the file reference type.

Select the referred file or enter the hyperlink. The hyperlink must be of format http:\\www.cadmatic.com.

Click OK.

Select the object to which the reference is attached.
By default, the file type is a CADMATIC Draw drawing (.drw), but it may refer to any file. The file type should be registered to some application in order to open the file.
Remove file references
Do the following:

Select Remove file reference. All objects containing a file reference are marked with the
icon. -
Select the object whose file reference you want to remove. If there are multiple references, select the desired reference from the list.
