Draw a continuous cylinder tube

3D tab > 3D draw group > Tube menu > Continuous cylinder tube, 3DCONTTUBE

Draw a continuous 3D tube. A 3D tube is a structure that consists of 3D faces. If you draw the tube as individual 3D faces, the program uses the active color. If you draw the tube as a symbol, the program uses the SYMBOL color.

Do the following:

  1. In the 3D-Tube dialog, enter the diameter of the tube.

  2. Select the drawing accuracy. Note that high accuracy results in a larger drawing file.

  3. Select the object type. If you want to edit the individual points on the tube's surface, select Polyfacemesh.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Indicate the start point of the centerline of the tube.

  6. Indicate the next points of the tube the same way as drawing a polyline. For more information, see Draw polylines and wide polylines.

  7. Stop drawing by pressing Enter.
