Draw a 3D cylinder

3D tab > 3D draw group > Cylinder, 3DCYL

Draw a 3D cylinder. A 3D cylinder is a structure that consists of 3D faces. If you draw the tube as individual 3D faces, the program uses the active color. If you draw the cylinder as a symbol, the program uses the SYMBOL color.

Do the following:

  1. In the 3D-Cylinder dialog, enter the diameter of the base of the cylinder. If you want to indicate the diameter on the drawing, select Point.

  2. Enter the height of the cylinder.

  3. Select whether you want to draw a bottom or a top to the cylinder.

  4. Select the drawing accuracy. Note that high accuracy results in a larger drawing file.

  5. Select the object type. If you want to edit the individual points on the cylinder's surface, select Polyfacemesh.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Enter center point of the cylinder.

  8. If you selected to indicate the diameter on the drawing, indicate the radius of the cylinder.
