Activating user-specific licenses

When using user-specific licensing, all licenses need to be activated before the program can be used. After installation (first start) and when starting unlicensed application, the program prompts for license activation.

Program checks the number of activated and free licenses from the CADMATIC server. Therefore, the program requires an internet connection during activation and also later while automatically renewing license activation.

Each license can be activated for one user at a time. If a license is deactivated the program can no longer be used. Deactivating a license enables the license to be activated by someone else. In practice, if there is a license for two programs it can be activated for two different users. Applications must also be activated before they can be used.

Note: Activating license is user account specific. This means that each user using same computer activates their own license. This should be considered when program installation is made by someone else than person using CADMATIC. License cannot be activated for someone else by using another user account.

User-specific licenses can be managed (activate and deactivate) selecting Help > About > License administration

License administration window can be used for managing licenses that are activated for current user. If you want to activate an application that has not yet been activated, the respective option needs to be selected. Removing the selection will deactivate the license (and enables license activation for someone else).

If there are no free licenses available, the application cannot be started.
