Move objects to another layer

Home tab > Layers group > Layer dialog menu > Move to another layer, MOVELAYER

Move objects from one layer onto another.

Do the following:

1. In the Move layer dialog, select the source layer on the list on the left side. You can also select an object on the drawing and select its layer by clicking Select.

2. Select the target layer on the list on the right side. You can also select an object on the drawing and select its layer by clicking Select.

3. If you want to change the location of the moved objects, click Move objects.

   1. If you want to change the size or the angle of the moved objects, select Ask scale factor or Ask Angle.

4. Click OK.

5. Select the objects that you want to move to another layer.

6. Confirm the selection by pressing Enter.

7. If you selected to change the location of the moved objects, do the following:

   1. Indicate a basepoint.

   2. Indicate the displacement or enter it on the command line.

   3. If you selected to change the size, indicate the new scale factor.

   4. If you selected to change the angle, indicate the new angle.
