Electrical deliverables

In CADMATIC Electrical Basic, functions are grouped into toolsets based on the types of documents they are intended to create – in the ribbon, these toolsets are on their own tabs. The tabs are Single-line, Layout, Schematics, and Cabinet Layout. Additionally, there is a tab called Electrical, which holds general settings as well as general functions that are used with multiple document types.

Note: The example project included in installation has been created with Electrical Premium so all features will not work with Electrical Basic.

Single-Line

The Single-line toolset offers all the functions needed for creating single-line documents: single-line diagrams, load diagrams, and distribution board tables.

Single-line diagram

Document type for any kind of single-line documents, such as key single-line, distribution single-line, and block diagrams.

Load diagram

Document type for creating horizontal and vertical load diagrams presenting feeders of one distribution board by using feeder symbol packages defined in feeder properties.

Distribution board (table)

A special type to be used only with the old Distribution board table style where graphical feeder package symbols are combined to a table.

Layout

The Layout toolset offers all the functions needed for creating all kinds of arrangement and layout drawings.

The documents available in the example project included in installation are listed below. The drawing directories are included below the following example images.

 

Arrangement drawing

Document type for creating arrangement documents with real measurements in the model space. Distances can be measured from the documents, and the X, Y and Z coordinates are saved to the Electrical database.

Arrangement (not in scale)

Document type for creating arrangement documents without any measurements, such as cable length. This type can be used, for example, for site documents done in metric scale or if there is a need to show devices in another layout drawing without coordinates effecting the database.

 

Schematics

The Schematics toolset offers functions needed for creating all kinds of schematics and multi-line style documents.

 

 

Multi-line diagram is a document type used for all multi-line documents and other schematic presentation documents.

An example of a multi-line diagram is included in installation. The drawing directory is included below the following example image.

Cabinet Layout

The Cabinet Layout toolset offers functions needed for creating cabinets and space reservations for devices.

Cabinet layout is a document type for cabinet layouts drawn with real measurement in the model space.
