Draw a continuous rectangular 3D tube

3D tab > 3D draw group >  Rectangular tube menu > Continuous cylinder rectangular tube, 3DCONTTUBE

Draw a continuous rectangular 3D tube. A 3D tube is a structure that consists of 3D faces. If you draw the tube as individual 3D faces, the program uses the active color. If you draw the tube as a symbol, the program uses the SYMBOL color.

Do the following:

  1. In the 3D-Rectangular tube dialog, enter the width of the tube.

  2. Enter the height of the tube.

  3. Select the drawing line on the rectangle.

  4. Select the object type. If you want to edit the individual points on the tube's surface, select Polyfacemesh.

  5. Select the drawing accuracy of the arcs. Note that high accuracy results in a larger drawing file.

  6. Select the arc type.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Indicate the start point of the centerline of the tube.

  9. Indicate the next points of the tube the same way as drawing a polyline. For more information, see Draw polylines and wide polylines.

  10. Stop drawing by pressing Enter.
