Copy objects from one layer to another

Home tab > Layers group > Layer dialog menu > Copy to another layer, COPYLAYER

Copy selected objects onto another layer.

Do the following:

1. In the Copy layer dialog, select the source layer on the list on the left side. You can also select an object on the drawing and select its layer by clicking Select.

2. Select the target layer on the list on the right side. You can also select an object on the drawing and select its layer by clicking Select.

3. If you want to move the copied objects after copying them, click Move objects.

   1. If you want to change the size or the angle of the copied objects, select Ask scale factor or Ask Angle.

4. Click OK.

5. Select the objects that you want to copy to another layer.

6. Confirm the selection by pressing Enter.

7. If you selected to move the objects after copying them, do the following:

   1. Indicate a basepoint.

   2. Indicate the displacement or enter it on the command line.

   3. If you selected to change the size, indicate the new scale factor.

   4. If you selected to change the angle, indicate the new angle.
