With these function, you can assign running IDs or addresses to symbols. When a cable marking is changed with a running ID, the cable ID is changed accordingly.
Note: These functions can only be used in arrangement drawings.
Assign running IDs for symbols
Define the format for running IDs, and assign running IDs for one or more symbols.
Do the following:

Start the Running IDs function. The Define running ID dialog opens.

In the 1st number field, enter the number from which you want to start the numbering.

If necessary, define the start and end parts for the ID.

Click OK.

Indicate the symbol for which you want to assign the ID.

If necessary, indicate the other symbols you want to assign IDs to. For each symbol, the running ID number will be increased by one.

Stop the function with Esc.
Define the running ID format
Do the following:

Start the Set automatic running ID/address format function. The Define running ID dialog opens.

In the 1st number field, enter the number from which you want to start the numbering.

If necessary, define the start and end parts for the ID. If you want the ID to include a period, add it in the Beginning field.

Click OK.
Set running IDs on and off
By clicking Set automatic running ID/address on/off, you can set the ID on and off. When the running IDs are in use, the function is highlighted in the menu:
When inserting symbols into the drawing, they will get ID information according to the defined format.
ID information is filled primarily to symbol's address attribute E_ADDRESS but if that doesn't exist, to ID attribute E_ID.
