Draw sketch lines
Home tab > Draw group > Line menu > Sketch, SKETCH
Draw a sketch line.
Do the following:
-
Indicate the start point.
-
Move the crosshair to draw a sketch line.
-
Indicate the end point or enter CLOSE on the command line to connect the start point to the current crosshair point.
The program draws the sketch line as a polyline.
If you have set grid on, the program forces the line through the grid points. If you have set grid off, the program draws short line segments that follow the movements of the crosshair.
If you use the sketch function a lot, your drawing takes up more space on the computer's storage since the program has to save the locations of every node point. Using the grid results in a smaller drawing file.
If you explode a sketch line, the program turns each line segment into an individual line.
