Home tab > Modify group >  Break/join menu > Join multiple objects, JOINM

With these functions, you can join lines, arcs, and circles to other lines, arcs, and circles. The heights of the objects must be the same in order to connect them.

Join parallel lines

Home tab > Modify group > Break/join menu > Join to straight line, JOIN

With this function, you can connect two parallel lines together as one.

Do the following:

  1. Select the first line.

  2. Select the second line.

The program connects the lines together.

Join lines into a corner

Home tab > Modify group > Break/join menu > Join corner, JOIN

With this function, you can join two lines or arcs into a corner.

Do the following:

  1. Select the first object. If the objects cross each other, select the object on the side that you want to keep in the drawing.

  2. Select the second object. If the objects cross each other, select the object on the side that you want to keep in the drawing.

The program extends or shortens the objects as is necessary and connects them at a point.

If you want to join an arc or a circle to other objects, select first the arc or the circle whose length or radius you want to adjust.

Join one object to another

Home tab > Modify group > Break/join menu > Join together, JOIN

Join an object to another object.

Do the following:

  1. Select the object that you want to trim on the side that you want to keep in the drawing.

  2. Select the object to which you want to trim the first object.

The program trims the first object. You can select a polyline as the second object but not as the first object.

If you want to change the size of a circle so that its centerpoint stays where it is and its perimeter touches a line, select the circle as the first object and the line as the second object.

Join multiple objects

Home tab > Modify group > Break/join menu > Join multiple objects, JOINM

Join multiple objects selected with a fence to another object.

  1. Select objects with a fence.

  2. Select a object to which other objects are joined.
