Print a symbol map
SYMB
Print a symbol map of all symbols in one directory.
Do the following:
-
Enter a name mask to filter for symbols. You can use asterisks, which stand for any number of any characters, and question marks, which stand for any single character. So, a mask A* filters for files that start with the letter A, and a mask A?E filters for files whose first letter is A and third letter is E.
The Select printer dialog opens.
-
Select the printer that you want to use to print the map.
-
Click OK. The program searches for the symbols. The Symbol list dialog opens.
-
Print the map by clicking Yes. The program creates a new file, inserts a drawing sheet on it and inserts the symbols on the drawing sheet.
-
If you selected to print the map as a PDF file, navigate to the directory where you want to save the file and enter a name for the file.
-
The program prints the symbol map.
The function searches for symbols in the current symbol directory. You can change the directory by selecting File > Settings, selecting the Directories tab and clicking Edit, see Define directory settings.
