Insert symbols by selecting from the drawing

Home tab > Symbol group >  Insert menu > Select from drawing

Do the following:

1. Select Draw > Symbol > Select symbol from drawing. The Symbol browser dialog opens.

2. Select the symbol that you want to insert.

3. Click Insert.

4. Indicate the insertion point for the symbol.

   Change the location of the insertion point on the symbol by pressing Tab until the crosshair is in the point that you want. Note that not all symbols have multiple insertion points.

   You can change the angle of the symbol by pressing F8.

5. Indicate or enter the scale factors, or accept the default scale factor by pressing Enter.

6. Indicate or enter the angle, or accept the default angle by pressing Enter. The Symbol browser dialog opens.

7. Insert more symbols by repeating steps 2–6.

8. When you want to stop inserting symbols, insert the final symbol by clicking Insert and close.
