Convert from MDB to SQLite
The default project type is SQLite. It is recommended to convert your MDB projects to SQLite but you can also choose to keep working in MDB. However, you can no longer create new MDB projects (unless using an old MDB project as a template).
When opening an MDB project, the application asks if you want to convert the project to the new database. If you choose not to convert the project, you can do it later in product database settings.
Do the following:
-
Open the .mdb project you want to convert. The application asks if you want to convert to the newer database.
-
Click Yes. You can then no longer edit the project in older application versions.
The application asks if you want to convert the database to SQLite.
You can either convert the project or keep using MDB. If you select No, the database connection will be closed and all changes will be saved only when the database connection has been restored. Restore the connection by closing and reopening the drawing.
-
Click Yes. The SQLite project is created, and a backup of the MDB project will be saved into the bak folder (by default C:\ProgramData\CADMATIC\Draw [version] English\Electrical\Data).
