Release notes

CADMATIC software has two main releases annually. The release name identifies the publishing year, the half (H1 or H2), and possible patch update designation (R2 or higher). These release notes describe new features, improvements, and bug fixes made in software version 2025H1 and its patch updates.

New features and improvements in 2025H1

This software release contains the following new features and improvements.

UI	Added a possibility to customize quick access toolbar.
Attributes	Added a possibility to use MTexts in attributes.
Leaders	Added a possibility to use symbol as leader's annotation.
Printing	Added a possibility to print PDF documents without separate printer drivers.
Printing	Unified default print directories for different print functions.
Printing	Improved frame printing's Define file name by symbol and attributes function.
Saving	Added `Backup_` prefix to backup files created during saving.
Settings	Settings are now saved immediately to CADS.ini file when OK is selected in Settings dialog.
IFC	Added support for IFC4 and IFC 4.3 versions.

Bug fixes in 2025H1

This software release contains the following bug fixes.

Text	Removed zoom after Edit text block function if UCSFOLLOW is enabled.
Texts	Fixed line spacing in Edit text block function.
Misc.	Fixed a bug that could cause the program to crash when opening certain windows.
Calculations	Fixed a bug that caused Area, perimeter, volume, mass function to calculates perimeter incorrectly if multiple elements were selected.
3D	Fixed orientation of 3D box symbol's faces.
Copy and paste	Fixed a typo in Paste from clipboard function.
Symbols	Fixed a typo in `SYMBOL INSERT` command prompt.
Symbols	Fixed the logo and texts in Print a symbol map function's print.
Select similar	Fixed a bug in Select similar function that caused an error while selecting hatches if line type setting wasn't used.
UI	Fixed a bug that caused the ribbon's search bar to incorrectly display commands that need an active document to run while there wasn't any documents active.
Printing	Fixed a typo in Print multiple window.
Hatches	Fixed a bug that caused the keyword `PREVIOUS` to not work with Hatch function if Define hatch area by selecting objects is used.
IFC	Fixed a bug with Force model's floor to 0 elevation in Modify IFC import settings window.
Help	Fixed Draw's help buttons so that they open application's help, if an application is active.
Help	Fixed a bug that could cause the symbol directory to be set incorrectly when help is opened.

This software release contains the following bug fixes.

Printing	Fixed a bug that could cause print preview in print frame function to crash the program.
Misc.	Fixed a bug that could cause the Color window to select a wrong color.
DWG	Fixed a bug that caused closed polylines to be displayed incorrectly in proxy graphics.

This software release contains the following bug fixes.

DWG	Fixed a bug that could cause saving to DWG format to fail if the drawing contained PDF reference drawings.
Select similar	Fixed a bug that caused the program to crash when Select similar was used on fill objects.
Misc.	Fixed a bug that could cause an error message when closing a drawing that contained extruded objects.
Misc.	Fixed a bug that could cause the program to crash if a drawing had reference drawings or symbols that contained multiline attributes.
Misc.	Fixed a bug that could cause saving to DWG format to fail if the drawing had symbols that contained multiline attributes.
