Draw clouds

Annotate tab > Markup group > Cloud, REVCLOUD

Draw a polyline in the shape of a cloud.

Do the following:

  1. Enter one of the following keywords on the command line.

    • Freehand – Draw a freehand cloud.

    • Rectangular – Draw a rectangular cloud.

    • Polygonal – Draw a polygonal cloud.

    • Object – Draw a cloud in the shape of an object in the drawing.

    • Settings – Edit settings for clouds. See settings below.

  2. Indicate the start point of the cloud or the object which shape will be used to draw a cloud.

    Tip: You can change cloud setting while drawing a cloud using the keys listed on the command line.

  3. Indicate an end point of the cloud or press Enter.

If you explode the polyline that you have drawn using this function, it explodes into multiple arc segments.

Settings

  • Bulge – Height of the arcs that form the cloud.

  • Bulge Var. – Variation in heights of the arcs that form the cloud.

  • Point var. – Variation in lengths of the arcs that form the cloud.

  • Width – Line width of the cloud.

  • Arc length – Length of the arcs that from the cloud.

  • Offset – Offset used when drawing a cloud in the shape of certain types of objects (e.g. symbol or leader).

  • Reset – Reset to default settings.
