Release notes

CADMATIC Draw has three main releases annually. The release name identifies the publishing year, tertial (T1–T3), and possible patch update designation (R2 or higher). These release notes describe new features, improvements, and bug fixes made in software version 2024T2.

New features and improvements in 2024T2

This software release contains the following new features and improvements.

Managing objects	Added Select similar function, that allows you to select all objects of the same type and similar properties from the drawing.
Snap	Added distinct icons for different snap points.
UI	Added a button to the user interface for Edit dialog.
Shading	Added SSAO shader effect.
Exercises	Updated exercise drawings.
Start page	Added tool tips that contain the whole file path for file paths that are displayed as shortened in Previous drawings list.
IFC	Added support for IFCFastener type objects.

Bug fixes in 2024T2

This software release contains the following bug fixes.

Save	Fixed a bug that could cause Save customer drawings to fail.
Misc.	Fixed a bug that caused some commands to work incorrectly after application was changed.

This software release contains the following bug fixes.

Clipping Boundaries	Fixed a bug that could in certain situations cause hatch patterns inside a symbol to disappear when the symbol was clipped.
