Insert symbols by drawing a circle

With the functions in the (Insert symbols by drawing a circle) menu in the Symbols window, you can insert symbols with a radius. By using the radius, a circle can be drawn over a symbol (e.g. fire alarm device, motion detector) which is to be placed in the drawing with virtual drawing. Virtual drawing means that the circle is visible during symbol positioning only and will not be printed.

The following functions are available:

  • Activate/deactivate circle drawing when inserting symbol – Draw a circle when positioning a symbol. The centre of the circle is in the symbol's insertion point. The circle can be drawn in the display when positioning any symbol.

  • Activate/deactivate drawing of circles over symbols – When this function is activated, a circle is drawn over those symbols which were equipped with a circle area radius during positioning. The circles are removed from the symbols when positioning the symbol is finished.

  • Radius of circle drawing when inserting symbol – Define the radius for the circle to be drawn. Max. five radius can be defined. The circle area radius will be saved to the positioned symbol.

  • Define inserting radius for selected elements – This function allows you to define the circle radius at a later stage to the symbols which are already in the drawing.

  • Draw permanent circles for symbols that have predefined radiuses – Draw circles around each symbol that has defined radiuses.

  • Remove permanent circles from symbols – Remove permanent circles drawn around symbols.
