Open drawings using drag-and-drop

Drawings can be opened using Windows' drag-and-drop feature. If a drawing icon is in Windows workspace or Explorer, it can be opened either by

• dragging the icon or its name onto an open window

• dragging the icon or its name onto icon

• double-clicking the icon or its name

Note: The drawing file (.drw) must be registered to CADMATIC Draw. The installation program does this automatically, but if you have installed other applications after installing CADMATIC Draw, they may have registered the same file type to themselves. If the drag-and-drop feature does not work, check the registered file types in Windows Explorer.
