Draw text blocks

Annotate tab > Text group > Text menu > Text block dialogTEXTBLOCK

Enter multiple lines of text and insert them into the drawing. You can define the text settings, add a leader and insert a wipeout on the background of the text object that covers the other objects that are under it.

Do the following:

  1. In the Text editor dialog, enter the text into the field.

  2. If you want to use the text later, do the following:

    1. Click Save. The Name of the text to save dialog opens.

    2. Enter a name for the text.

    3. Click OK.

    You can now use the text later.

  3. If you want to use a previously saved text, do the following:

    1. Click Load. The Saved texts dialog opens.

    2. Select the directory where you want to search the saved texts.

    3. Select the text from the list.

    4. If you want to remove a text, select the text and click Remove.

    5. Click OK.

    The program inserts the saved text below any text that you have already entered.

  4. Define the text settings:

    1. Select the color.

    2. Select the layer.

    3. Select the text style.

    4. Select the size.

    5. Select the oblique angle.

    6. Enter the width factor.

    7. Enter the line spacing.

  5. Select whether you want to draw a wipeout to the background of the text element.

  6. Select whether you want to draw a leader.

  7. If you want to draw a leader, define the leader settings:

    1. Select the arrowhead style.

    2. Select the leader color.

    3. Select the frame style.

    4. Select whether you want to draw horizontal lines underneath the text rows.

  8. Click OK.

  9. If you selected to draw a leader, indicate the start and end points of the leader.

  10. Indicate the location of the text frame.

The program draws the text on the drawing.
