Cabinet Layout

The functions on the Cabinet Layout tab are used for creating documents related to manufacturing the distribution boards. The distribution board diagrams can include type data for components which can then be used for creating different reports, such as parts lists. A parts list can be created in the drawing or it is also possible to use the Electrical DB database functions.

Fast and flexible editing of data has been the principal idea of the database functions of Electrical to ensure flawless design work. It helps manage and edit all data of a project. You can choose whether you want to work in a traditional document view or to manage information using a modern, 2-way database tool.

All possible drawing sizes can be used. The drawing area is primarily selected according to the drawing task under work and the printing size. The drawing area is selected so that the target of drawing can be drawn on the screen using a scale of 1:1, and printed in the desired scale, e.g. using a 1:10 printer. This is why it is good to set the drawing area so that the task under work can be printed to the desired size as fast as possible. If the drawing area has not been set, it can be set to a scale of e.g. A3, 1:10, which means reserving a drawing area (size scale 1:1) that you can print to a size 1:10. In other words, this means that the reserved drawing area is 10 times the size of an A3 in the X and Y directions.

When working on a cabinet layout drawing, the respective settings are active. You can edit them on the Cabinet Layout tab in the Electrical settings.
