Insert device texts

In Schematics, you can also start the function from the project tree view or from the device symbol context menu.

     

With this function, you can insert device text 1-4 to a drawing as a separate text symbol.

Do the following:

  1. Select the desired device ID from the drop-down menu or the project tree view, or indicate it from the drawing. You can also create a new device by inserting a new device ID.

    2. If device texts have already been defined, they are shown in the dialog.

  2. Enter the desired texts, or edit the existing texts. Changes made will be updated to the device.

    • Device text 1 – Attribute name E_SYMBTXT1

    • Device text 2 – Attribute name E_SYMBTXT2

    • Device text 3 – Attribute name E_SYMBTXT3

    • Device text 4 – Attribute name E_SYMBTXT4

  3. If you want to hide a device text, click the respective Visible option to remove the check mark.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Insert device text symbol to the drawing. Device text is one of the device occurrences in the project.
