Symbols
Symbol structures in all Electrical applications is reformed in 14-version. This symbol reform enable better and varied application development in the future.
Symbols have to include the following properties:
-
Symbol type – Symbol have to be at least one symbol type (e.g. luminaire, plug socket). Also sub types can be used for further information (e.g. linear light fixture > wall mounting).
-
Wiring point – Symbols have to include one or more wiring points. Wiring point is a dot, where wire or cable can be connected (like a real terminal of equipment). That's why it is important to draw all lines (wires or cables) to wiring point.
In addition, symbols can also include cut points. Two cut points make a pair, which can be used to cut a line when inserting symbol on lines. End of separated lines are automatically connected to wiring points which are in same place.
Single cut point can be defined by selecting same cut point twice. Single cut point brakes wire to two pieces, this mean that there are no cap between wires.
