Create I/Os and connect them to channels

If a drawing in Schematics already has a channel symbol from an I/O card but no I/O has been connected and the desired kind of I/O is not available, you can create a new I/O and then connect it to the channel.

Do the following:

1. Right-click on the channel symbol, and select Create a new I/O to this channel.

   

2. When prompted, save the drawing. The I/O properties dialog opens.

   

3. Define the I/O properties.

4. Click OK.
