Map support
In System Administration > External Services > Map Support a system administrator can configure if map support is enabled or disabled. When map support is enabled, project maps can be used in eShare.

To open the Map Support management view, select External Services in the menu.

Expand Map Support pane.
Enabling map support
Prerequisites
For Google Maps:

A Google Maps API key.
If you do not have one, create a new project in Google Cloud Console: https://console.cloud.google.com/projectselector2/google/maps-apis/overview?pli=1 and the API key will be prompted, or available in the credentials page.
For Open Street Map:

An URL for the tile provider.
Follow the usage rules of the selected provider. List of providers is available in Open Street Map wiki: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Raster_tile_providers.
Do the following:

Select System Admin in the main menu. The system administration view opens.

Select External Services in the menu.

Expand Map Support pane.

Select Edit in the Map Support section.

In map support configuration, specify the following:
Status – To enable map support, set to Enabled.

In General section, specify the following:

Map Service – Select the used map service from the drop-down menu:

Google Maps – If you are using Google Maps service, specify the following:

API key – Enter the Google Maps API key.

Open Street Map – If you are using Open Street Map service, specify the following:

URL – Enter the URL providing the tiles for the map. An example URL is https://url.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png

Select Save at the top of the configuration view.
Disabling map support
Do the following:

Select System Admin in the main menu. The system administration view opens.

Select External Services in the menu.

Expand Map Support pane.

Select Edit in the Map Support section.

In map support configuration, specify the following:
Status – To disable map support, set to Disabled.
