Variable Angle Marker

Production > Plate Cutting Data > Bevel > Variable Angle Marker

Variable bevels are bevels that have different angles at their start and end, usually because the beveled edge is following the hull that makes a varying angle with the plate and shell frames. With the settings below it is possible to present the angles of these bevels with intervals and a special marker in the plate cutting data and profile sketches.

These settings are used for variable bevel angles on profile sketches and DXF output.

See Including variable angle markers (DXF) and Including variable angle markers (sketches) in the Managing Production Information Administrator's Guide for more information.

Variable Bevel Types

Define the bevel types that can get variable angle markers in the plate cutting data and profile sketches.

See Bevel types.

Step Size

Define the step size (in degrees) in which the variable bevels should be split.

Minimum Angle Threshold

Define the minimum angle. An interval with a smaller angle than this value will not be presented as a separate step.

The default value is 0.0.

Minimum Bevel Opening Threshold

Define the minimum bevel opening. Only bevels with an opening equal to or larger than this value will get variable angle markers. Angled parts with a bevel opening smaller than this value will not be shown as a separate step.

The default value is 0.0.
