Rectangle
Draw > Draw > Rectangle
Draw a rectangle by indicating the two points.
Use the function dependent option option (FDO) Corner Radius for creating a rectangle with a corner radius. By using the FDO Angle you can create a rotated rectangle.
- Indicate first corner point: Press Enter to select the position of the current control as the first corner point.
- Indicate next corner: Press Enter to use the current mouse position. A rectangle is drawn using the indicated corner points and the corner radius (if indicated).

- Corner Radius [current value]: Change the corner radius of the rectangle. The default value is 0. The indicated corner radius must be at least two times smaller than the height and the width of the rectangle, or no rectangle will be drawn.
- Angle: Change the rotation angle of the rectangle. The default value is 0. The angle can be anything between -360 and 360 degrees. A positive angle is anti-clockwise.
- Coordinates: Switch from the active mode to the Coordinates mode for entering an absolute corner point. This option becomes available after you have indicated the first corner point. After switching, this option will be replaced by the active mode.
- Height, Width: Switch to the Height, Width mode. This option becomes available after indicating the first corner point. The values shown in the dynamic input are the horizontal and vertical distances from the first corner point. After switching, this option will be replaced by the active mode.
- Diagonal Length: Switch to the Diagonal Length mode. You can specify the rectangle's diagonal. This option becomes available after you have indicated the first corner point. The values shown in the dynamic input are the distance and angle of the current cursor position to the first corner point. After switching, this option will be replaced by the active mode.
Splitting a rectangle
Drawn rectangle is created as one line vector and cannot be divided into smaller line segments by the clump or conflict selection. If you want to divide a rectangle to four line segments you have two options, as follows.
- Divide the rectangle into four separate line segments at once: Right-click on the rectangle, and select Manipulate > Split from the context menu.
- Allow the rectangle to be split first by editing its properties, and then divide it manually: Right-click on the rectangle, and select Properties from the context menu. Select the Split check box. Divide the rectangle manually.
You can also modify the rectangle's corner radius and/or the angle in Properties.
