Fillet
Draw > Modify > Fillet
Create a fillet between a point and a line or between two indicated items as line segments, splines, arcs and circles.
The table below shows you the possible item combinations for trimming.
Item to Trim \ Base Item | Line Segment | Construction Line | Spline | Arc | Circle |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Line Segment | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Construction Line | No | No | No | No | No |
Spline | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Arc | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Circle | Yes | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Yes = able to fillet, No = no fillet possibility
Creating fillets
Do the following:
-
Indicate the first item you want to fillet, or indicate a point which will be the starting point of the arc.
-
Indicate the second item you want to fillet. If a point is indicated in the previous stage, you have to indicate a line.
-
Indicate the radius.
After placing a successful fillet between the two indicated items the system will not ask you for entering the radius again. You can change the radius with the Radius FDO.

- Trim/Extend [on / off] – Set this option to off to not trim or extend the indicated items to the created fillet. The default value is on (the indicated items are trimmed or extended to the fillet).
- Radius [current value] – Change the entered fillet radius. This option is only available after you have created a new fillet.
Note: For all items except splines, a fillet is always created in a position where the distance between the end points of the indicated items is smallest. With splines, the fillet is created at that end point of the spline which is closer to the selection point.
