Filters

View > Presentation > Filters

Applies presentation filters to the drawing. The available filters are:

• Construction Control – Controls the presentation of individual 3D-items in a view. The pen number and dash type can be modified, and selected elements can be hidden from the view. It is possible to undo these actions. See below for more information.

• Object Control – Sets the presentation filters for the objects in the drawing.

• Layer Control – Sets the presentation filters for the layers in the drawing.

• Profile Line Type – Changes the line type of the selected profiles.

Using the Construction Control filter

With the presentation filter you can control the presentation of individual 3D items in the view. The used pen number and dash type can be modified for the selected item type, and selected elements can be hidden from the view.

Modifying the presentation and hiding items

Do the following:

1. Select the items whose presentation you want to modify or hide from the view.

   All 3D items can be selected. Also part labels on plates in plan view can be selected. Some parts of 3D items can be selected and modified separately. The items available for selection depends on whether the function was started in the 3D-Contek or Shell application.

   You can use the selection drop-down menu to limit the selectable items to a specific construction item type. The default is Any.

2. Select the items in the graphical window.

   Note that selecting plates includes brackets and corrugations.

3. If so desired, select the Pen number and Dash type using the drop-down menus. The pens and dashes used for drawing lines and circles can be used here. Select the respective check boxes if you want the selected pen number and/or dash type applied when Modify selection is clicked.

4. Click Modify Selection to apply the presentation changes to the view. You can make a new selection and apply different modifications immediately, or close the function.

   Click Hide selection to hide all currently selected items from the view.

Showing and re-displaying hidden items

It is possible to make previously hidden items visible by selecting the Show hidden Items check box. Hidden items cannot be selected, they are just displayed in the selection. It is still possible to add or remove elements from the selection. The selected items can be redisplayed or set to default.

Items which have been removed before can be redisplayed after the Show hidden items check box has been selected. This works for all items in the selection. If hidden items are removed from the selection, these element stay hidden.

If some redisplayed items have been modified by construction control before, these modifications are still applied.

Reverting to default presentation

Set selection to default reverts all modifications on the selected items back to default. When used for hidden items, the items are redisplayed with their original properties.
