Face Plates

Logistics > Description > Face Plates

Set the default descriptions used for face plates. The descriptions are shown in 3D-Item Information in the Hull design applications and Item Information in Hull Viewer, and used in reports as the descriptions of parts.

Face Plate

Description for a created straight face plate. In addition to free text, the following variables can be used. They will be replaced by the variable values in the actual description texts.

• PLATENAME – Replaced by the position of the main plate.

• PROFNAME – Replaced by the face plate name.

  Note: In Excel reports the value of PROFNAME is replaced with the value of the ProfileName variable. The value of ProfileName for the different profile types can be defined in System Management > Presentation > Profiles > Dimension Text, in the Name definition column.

• VAR – Replaced by the position of the main plate.

Bent Face Plate

Description for a created bent face plate. In addition to free text, the following variables can be used. They will be replaced by the variable values in the actual description texts.

• PLATENAME – Replaced by the position of the main plate.

• PROFNAME – Replaced by the face plate name.

  Note: In Excel reports the value of PROFNAME is replaced with the value of the ProfileName variable. The value of ProfileName for the different profile types can be defined in System Management > Presentation > Profiles > Dimension Text, in the Name definition column.
