Chamfer
Modify > Lines > Chamfer
Create a line segment between two indicated line segments.
- Indicate first item: Indicate the first line.
- Indicate second item: Indicate the second line. The line must not be parallel to the first indicated line.
- Indicate first distance: Indicate the first chamfer distance, measured from the lines intersection point to the first indicated line. After creating a successful chamfer, the system will not ask you to enter this distance again. If you want to change this, use the Distance 1 FDO. The distance must be larger than zero, and less than the total distance between the intersection point and the farthest end point of the first indicated line.
- Indicate second distance: Indicate the second chamfer distance, measured from the the lines intersection point to the second indicated line. After creating a successful chamfer, the system will not ask you for entering this distance again. If you want to change this, use the Distance 2 FDO. The entered distance must be larger than zero, and less than the total distance between the intersection point and the farthest end point of the second indicated line.

- Trim/Extend [on / off] – Set this option to off to not trim or extend the indicated items to the created chamfer. The default value is on (the indicated items are trimmed or extended to the chamfer).
- Distance 1 [current value] – Change the first chamfer distance. This option is only available after you have created a new chamfer.
- Distance 2 [current value] – Change the second chamfer distance. This option is only available after you have created a new chamfer.
