Configurations

Import/Export > DXF/DWG/PDF > Configurations

Add a configuration to, or delete a configuration from, the list of DXF/DWG configurations used in the Import > DXF/DWG and Export > DXF/DWG/PDF functions.

The Available configurations list on the left contains the available configuration names. The names correspond to the dxf-<configuration name>.cfg files in the %ncghelps%\dxf directory.

The Selected configurations list on the right is presented in the Import > DXF/DWG files(s) and Export > DXF/DWG/PDF file(s) functions. The list is stored in a dxfconfig.dat file, either the global one, or a project-specific one.

  • Select a configuration from the available configurations, and click the right arrow button to move it to the selected configurations.
  • Use the left arrow button to remove a configuration from the selected configurations.
  • Use the up and down arrow buttons to move a configuration up or down in the selected configurations.
  • Click Reset to clear the list of selected configurations.

You can select to specify either the global, or local project-specific dxfconfig.dat file. This way, you can specify a different configuration list for each project.

  • Global file (%ncghelps%) – Specify a global dxfconfig.dat file.
  • Local file (project) – Specify a local dxfconfig.dat file.

If a project-specific dxfconfig.dat file is available in the <project>\norms\lvar directory, that file will be used to fill the configuration selection list in the Import > DXF\DWG file(s) and Export > DXF/DWG/PDF file(s) dialogs.

If a project-specific dxfconfig.dat file is not found, the global file in the %ncghelps%\dxf directory will be used.

Create example configurations – Create configuration files for for the following example configurations: general, plotlines, nohatches, special, color, and import. Standard versions of dxfselect.cmd and dxfselectplo.cmd are also generated, unless they are already available in the %ncghelps%\dxf directory.
