Rebuild Outfitting Cache
Tools > Rebuild Outfitting Cache
The Rebuild Outfitting Cache function is used for recreating the local cache files for hole requests (RFHs) and Outfitting markings on coded plates.
All data in the Outfitting cache is always immediately synchronized with COS. So the locally cached data can be reconstructed by removing all the files related to the Outfitting cache, and retrieving the RFH and Outfitting marking data from COS again. However, the rfhadmin.dat file may contain changes in checked-out blocks that are not synchronized with COS yet. The rfhadmin.dat file is for RFH data only.
Important: Make sure that there are no users active in the project at the site.
When building a local cache
-
The contents of the rfhadmin.dat file are read into memory.
-
Then the Outfitting cache files and the rfhadmin.dat file are removed.
-
Because the previous Outfitting cache was removed, all RFH and Outfitting marking data is downloaded from COS.
-
Filling of the Outfitting cache is started as normal, but the RfhAdmin data is taken from memory instead of the file.
This procedure ensures that all data in the cache is kept unchanged.
This clears any existing hole request responses from the cache after RFHs that have been deleted.
