COS Objects

In the COS database, COS objects carry the data; each COS object is a combination of identification, properties, attributes, references, and application data. Many individual Hull database elements, such as hull lines and hull construction items, are stored as single COS objects.

When working in Hull, attributes contain the information shared with CADMATIC Outfitting, while everything else is stored in application data. Hull-specific attributes are tagged with the tags .H0– .HZ. Attributes that are common to all Cadmatic applications reuse the generic attributes from the COS database schema.
