Handling of hole requests in relation to blocks
The 'ownership' of a hole request (RFH, request for hole) is determined based on geometry, that is, how given RFHs are positioned with respect to the block area(s). This is how they are visualized:
-
In drawings – When the center of the RFH falls inside the area of the drawing, it is treated as follows:
-
When the center of the RFH is inside the area of the active block, the RFH is drawn with a solid line.
-
When the center of the RFH is inside a block area that is not active:
-
Only one block – RFH is considered part of that block and it is drawn using the solid/dash setting of that block.
-
Multiple blocks – RFH is considered part of the block with the smallest volume, and it is drawn using the solid/dash setting of that block.
-
-
-
Hull Viewer – RFH is displayed in Hull Viewer if its center is in the area of any of the displayed blocks.
-
Hole list – RFH is considered to be added in the hole list if the center of the RFH is within the area of the selected block.
