Material mapping and properties
Before using the Export to OCX function, Hull material codes must be mapped to OCX material types in the Main Project Data File, which is an Excel file. Also some material properties can be defined in the Main Project data File. The file is shared with the Export to Mars2000 function.
The name and location of the Main Project data File is defined in System Management > Import/Export > Scantlings > Main Project Data File. The default is <project>\norms\cvar\mainprojectdata.xlsx.
Mapping materials and defining material properties
List the Hull material codes in column Q, and the matching OCX material types in column R.
In the following columns, define the properties for each material in the order shown in the image above.
Important: The order of the columns must not be changed.
Consider the following:
- The Material section must start from column Q, separated from the SWBMSF distributions section by one (blank) column only (P).
- The Material title can be changed, as can the subtitles Material Type Cadmatic, Material Type Mars2000, YieldStress, YoungModulus, and so on.
-
The order of the columns must not be changed.
-
The Material Type column must not contain duplicate names. Lines with a duplicate name will be skipped. Note that the material names are case-insensitive. This means the if the following is filled in, only the first line is exported:
