Notches

Notches are converted to a notch statement. The Nupas standard notches are converted to their Tribon equivalents. For notches defined in type files an extra line can be added to the type file. This line should look like this:

K <tribon notch> [<param_1> <param_2> ... <param_n>]

The line should start with the character 'K'.

<tribon notch> - Tribon notch type, for example VUF, KO or KE.

<param_1>...<param_n> - Notch dimensions. The Nupas R and V variables can be used to fill in these parameters

Example:

K VUF 100 100 25 , will give a notch VUF100*100*25

K R R1 , will give a round notch with radius R1, R100 for example.

If no extra line is added to the type file the notch will be converted as a curve.

The program tries to find the limit or corner of the panel for the notch. If it fails to do so the notch is converted as a curve.
