Automatic shrinkage compensation

Automatic shrinkage compensation can be applied by using the Tools > Shrinkage Manager function. This function applies the automatic shrinkage settings in the block-specific shrinkage.cmd file. See Defining the Shrinkage Manager for more information.

The automatically added shrinkage compensation marks will be added as attributes in the database, but are not visible on the drawings like the manual compensation symbols. This means that only manually added shrinkage compensation symbols will be present in the drawings. Both types of shrinkage compensation marks can retrieve information with the ATT ? function.

Note: Applying automatic shrinkage compensation overwrites the previously added shrinkage compensation marks.

Note: It is not possible to remove automatically applied shrinkage compensation attributes manually. The only way to remove these attributes from the database is to use the add='delete' variable in the plate.cmd file, and run Shrinkage Manager again.

After changing or adding plates and/or attributes it is recommended to run Shrinkage manager again before preparing production information.
