Installation Scenarios

CADMATIC Hull supports the following installation scenarios.

Server Installation

The main components of a server installation are Cadmatic Hull Server, License Server and COS Server. See Server Installation.

You can also install the CADMATIC Hull client software, if it needs to be used on the server computer. See Workstation Installation.

Workstation Installation

A typical workstation installation only consists of the CADMATIC Hull client software. See Workstation Installation.

Stand-Alone Installation

Stand-alone installation is basically the same as server installation; you install everything to a single computer, and then you can run the complete CADMATIC Hull software on that computer, also when there is no network access. You can also install a COS server and the License Server, if necessary. See Server Installation and Workstation Installation.

Viewer/Work Preparation Manager Installation

You can install the Cadmatic Hull Viewer – Work Preparation Manager application on computers that will be used to view 3D models and to define the work breakdown structure. Models saved with this version can be transferred to the CADMATIC Hull software and the logistical information be synchronized to the construction database. See Hull Viewer Installation.
