Using a license code

With this option you request a license code from Cadmatic. The license code can be for a specific workstation (local license), or for several workstations in the same network (network license).

You obtain the license code against a reference code that you can get from the application. Once you have received the license code, you enter it in the application, and the system creates a license file.

Do the following:

To see your reference code, do the following:

  1. Launch CADMATIC Hull Viewer.

  2. Select Help > License.

  3. In License code, browse to a folder that you intend to use as the location of the license file that will be created once you enter the license code.

    • This folder should not contain a license file at this point.
    • In case of a local license, choose a folder on a local drive, and in case of a network license, a network drive.

  4. Click OK. The Codes dialog opens, displaying your reference code.

  5. Send the reference code to CADMATIC: license@cadmatic.com.

Once you have obtained your license code from CADMATIC, do the following:

  1. Launch CADMATIC Hull Viewer.

  2. Select Help > License.

  3. In License code, browse to the folder where you want the license file created.

  4. Click OK. The Codes dialog opens.

  5. Enter your licensing code, and click OK.

  6. Restart CADMATIC Hull Viewer.

Results

A license file is generated to the chosen location.

In case of a network license, other users can unlock their Hull Viewer by selecting Help > License and browsing to this folder.
