Modifying reference planes

  1.  Modifying the virtual plate

Modifying the contour, thickness and material of a reference plane is similar to modifying them for a regular plate.

Modifying the name is similar to modifying the material; by using the function "Modify Logistical Data". The plate that represents the reference plane can be selected in the drawing and the name can be changed in the dialog that follows.

  1.  Modifying the reference plane

With use of the "Synchronize" function, the modifications are saved to the reference plane in the shape database.

Removing reference planes

Removing a reference plane consists of the following steps:

  1.  Removing the virtual plate

Removing a virtual plate in a reference surface block is similar to removing a regular plate; with use of the "Remove 3D-Items" function.

  1.  Removing the reference plane

With use of the "Synchronize" function, the reference plane is removed from the shape database.

Removing a virtual plate is similar to removing a regular plate in 3D-Contek. When the button "Synchronize" is pressed, the corresponding reference plane is removed from the shape database.

Note: It is not recommended to remove a reference plane while a plate in 3D-Contek has been defined in it. The plate's reference will be lost and it will fail to recalculate from that point on.
