Viewing and saving the results

The result of the calculations appear in the Block Arrangement dialog once all the computations are completed.

The Total line contains the total of the last calculation action.

Note the difference between the estimated weight and the actual weight of the blocks with and without relations (red box). Blocks 1-3 show how the varying amount of construction is normally unhelpful since the values vary widely. However, since block 4 is fully defined, this block can be used as the reference construction for blocks 5-7, to provide much more accurate estimations of the weight and COG. Note in the blue box how the COG is now based upon the reference construction, and gets the correct offset of +3mm.

Saving the results

You can save the result for later use as a CSV file for use in Microsoft Excel, for example. You can also export predefined set to Building Block Overview.

  • – Save the calculation to a .csv file.
  • – Export the predefined sets to Building Block Overview. In distributed projects, Hull block objects are created for new blocks. In order to apply modifications to the existing Hull block objects, the blocks need to be checked out first.

The entire state of the tool is saved on exit, and is loaded on the next run of Flexi Weight. This includes the active and virtual blocks that were selected. However, if you makes changes to the blocks themselves outside of the Flexi Weight, you must update both to make sure only valid blocks are incorporated in the calculations.
