End shape definition line E

The end shape (end type) definition line starts with the letter E, followed by four values. An optional fifth value can be used to define extra length.

The first two values define the bulb line, and the next two values define the maximum length of the profile.

Example of an E line:

E 0 H1*V1 0 0

Note: The E line must define a vector longer than 0.

First and second values: Bulb line

The first two values determine the X and Y position where the bulb line will be drawn, in relation to the original point. This is the green point in the picture below.

When defining this point, you must choose the same height ratio for each profile end type. Otherwise a profile with different end types and a different Y position will be drawn with a slanted bulb line.

Third and fourth values: Maximum length

The third and fourth values determine the maximum length of the profile in relation to the original point. See the green points in the picture below.

In all cases only two X positions need to be defined. This information is necessary for calculating the exact profile trimming length. Two X values are needed because of the flexible shape of the end type.

In the left picture above, the higher point is used to calculate the longest length. If the related angle in smaller than 90 degrees, the lower point is used to calculate the longest length. See the picture on the right above. If "Measure from base points" is used, the base point is used to calculate the longest length (in the example on the right) instead of the lowest green point.

Fifth value: Extra length

A fifth value can be used to that specify extra length (green) for the profile. The extra length is only used and processed when robot files are created.

This value is optional and not useful if the function is used.

E-line for cutouts and holes

In case of a cutout or hole, the four E line values define the smallest circumscribed rectangle.

  • The first two values define the bottom left corner.
  • The third and fourth values define the top right corner.
