Shape definition of profile cross section

An example of the shape definition of an unequal angle bar is given below. The figure shows the results of this definition.

This example results into a profile in section as shown in the figure at Basic position of the profile cross section.

Some additional lines can be necessary in the type file. The D line must always be present, the other lines might be needed, dependent on the profile definitions. These lines are added because the involved dimension(s) might not be stored in the profile name but can be derived from the main dimension(s).

D = is followed by the thickness (or width) of the profile
F = flange size
FD = flange thickness

 

The example below has veeb extracted from a user defined profile which only has one dimension in its name like in AN200.
