Sketch

The profile sketch line defines which variables used in the shape definition are important for the production of the profile by means of a profile sketch. This line is only used for cutouts and (corner) holes, since these may be parts (attributes) of a profile.

To list the data for profile sketches in the type file, a profile sketch line is required. It lists the data of the attribute that must be included in the profile sketch.

The profile sketch line starts with the letter H, which is followed by several acronyms with their names. The following acronyms with names (as examples) and meanings may be included after the H:

TY Type designation of the attribute
T1 Name of the attribute
C1 First dimension of the hole
C2 Second dimension of the hole
C3 Third dimension of the hole
ROT Rotation of the hole related to base of the profile
DT Indicate that a detail model with the file name indicated by the value behind these name
DTM Indicate that a detail model with the file name indicated by the value behind these name
B1 Thickness of the profile including extra breadth
HA Height from the centre point of the hole to base profile.
H1 Height of the profile including extra length.
R1 First R variable of cutout, up to eighth
R8 Eighth R variable of cutout

With some names the calculation rules can be used, these names are C1, C2, C3, B1, H1, R1 until R8

R1*V1*R8         _1FreeText

R8*V1         _8FreeText

The data will be processed further by the %NCGNORMS%\ncgrobot.ind and %NCGNORMS%\prfschetssetup.cmd files. The H line therefore only determines which variables should be included in the profile sketch. Some examples:

H HA H= T1 Creephole C1 L= C2 B=

H HA H= T1 Flathole R1 R= R2 Width=

H HA H= T1 Flathole R1 R= R2 Width=

H HA H= T1 Hole C1*V1 Diam

H DT HGN C1 R= HA H=

The ncgrobot.ind file has been created by Cadmatic and should not be modified. If it is not yet included in your %NCGNORMS% directory, you can copy it from the standard %NCGNORMS% directory. Without this file, no profile sketch can be created. For more information, see Profile Sketch.
