Recalculating hull lines
You can recalculate hull lines when
- The hull lines have been created with the Insert Hull Line function. Hull lines that have been created in external shape databases (that is, knuckles, angled curves) cannot be recalculated with this function.
- The hull line range subsets containing the hull lines are checked out.
Do the following:
-
Check out the hull line range subsets containing the hull lines you want to recalculate.
-
In Shell, start the Home > General > Recalculate > Hull Lines function.
-
Select one or multiple hull lines to be recalculated by either indicating them in the graphical window or by selecting them from the list of all available hull lines. Check the list of available hull lines by marking the Overview of hull lines option.
-
Click OK to recalculate the indicated hull lines.
When recalculating hull lines, their relations will also be recalculated. Therefore, changes that affect the relation will affect the hull line as well. When you recalculate a hull line which is related to a construction part that no longer exists, the re-evaluation fails. In this case the hull line will not be updated and an error message is displayed.
When multiple lines are selected for recalculation, the process is executed in the following order:
- All selected lines in order of group number
- For each group:
- All selected dimension lines, in order of key number.
- All selected butts, in order of key number.
- All selected seams, in order of key number.
