View EDM data

You can view the External Data Management (EDM) information of a diagram object.

You can view this data also via the property pane, as described in Property tabs.

Prerequisites

• The diagram object has been linked to an EDM object as described in EDM.

Do the following:

1. In the active diagram, pick the diagram object.

2. Right-click the object, and then select Browse > View EDM data from the context menu. The View Object's edm Data dialog opens.

   

3. You can copy EDM data to the clipboard: select the text rows you want to copy and press Ctrl+C or select Copy from the context menu.

4. You can export EDM data to Microsoft Excel: select the text rows you want to export and press Ctrl+E. You are prompted whether to include just the selected rows in the export.

5. Click Close to close the dialog.
