Attributes in integration

Common

The following attributes are automatically created by CADMATIC Outfitting when Plant Modeller is started.

  • Hull Block number
  • Hull Logistic key
  • Hull Plate key
  • Hull Attribute key
  • Hull Construction type
  • Hull Block name
  • Hull Plate thickness
  • Hull Plate material

The type of all these attributes is Integer. They are stored to COS server as embedded data and their values are assigned by CADMATIC Hull. So, the users are prevented from editing or assigning values for these attributes. Also, the users cannot assign these attributes to other objects.

Work breakdown structure

When the hull of a ship is sent from CADMATIC Hull to CADMATIC Outfitting, the program creates COS attributes that describe the hierarchical levels of the Work Breakdown Structure defined in CADMATIC Hull. They always have the "WBD_" prefix.

In a default configuration, the following attributes are created when the fields of the Work Breakdown Structure are assigned as attributes to the CADMATIC Outfitting group objects. There can also be other attributes, depending on what has been defined in CADMATIC Hull.

  • WBD_Block

  • WBD_BlockGroup

  • WBD_Panel

  • WBD_SubPanel

  • WBD_Part

CADMATIC Outfitting entities that use these attributes can be displayed as separate collections in the Model Tree pane, as described in Model Tree.

You can read more about Work Breakdown Structure in the CADMATIC Hull user manual.

CADMATIC Hull user

CADMATIC Hull users can define attributes that they want to send to CADMATIC Outfitting when exporting the hull structure. When shown in CADMATIC Outfitting, these attributes have the "NCH_" prefix.

  • NCH_BlockName

  • NCH_Material

    etc.

These attributes exist for all CADMATIC Hull objects.

You can read more about this functionality in the CADMATIC Hull user manual.
