Standard Components

Normally standard components are stored in the library. For custom, project-specific cases the database can also be the project database.

When a user inserts a Standard Component such as a valve from the piping specification to the model, the component must have the following settings:

• Isometric drawing symbol. A symbol which is drawn in isometric drawing to this component.
• GDL. GDL specifies the building instructions (parametric) for the component model (for valves, T-pieces etc.).
• Dimension table. The values for the parameters in the GDL are defined in Dimension Tables.
• Catalog part. The data for listings.
• Piping specification. Specification defines which standard components can be used in this piping specification.
